Dogsledding and Snowshoeing in Trondheim – A Family-Friendly Winter Adventure with Snowshoeing

Dogsledding and Snowshoeing in Trondheim – A Rotating Small-Group Winter Adventure

This unique winter tour in Trondheim combines dogsledding and snowshoeing in one balanced experience. To ensure personal guidance and small-group quality, guests are divided into two teams that rotate between activities.

While one group enjoys a guided snowshoeing adventure in the nearby Trondheim forest, the other group participates in an authentic dogsledding experience with our team of 12 huskies.

Authentic Dogsledding in Trondheim with 12 Huskies

Our local musher Rino leads the dogsledding portion of the tour. With years of experience working with sled dogs, he introduces the husky team, explains how dogsledding works, and guides participants through the basics of handling the sled.

Guests have the opportunity to mush the full team of 12 dogs across snowy forest trails. This hands-on dogsledding experience near Trondheim is suitable for beginners and requires no prior experience.

The focus is on teamwork, connection with the dogs, and enjoying the winter landscape in a safe and structured way.

Guided Snowshoeing in Trondheim Forest

At the same time, the second group joins Lisa — our experienced snowshoe guide — for a scenic snowshoeing tour through nearby forest trails.

Snowshoeing in Trondheim is one of the best ways to explore winter nature. The trails are peaceful, the terrain is accessible, and no previous experience is required. Lisa guides the group, shares local insights, and ensures a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

Depending on conditions, there may even be a friendly snow activity moment along the way.

Everyone Experiences Both Activities

After the first session, the groups switch activities. This rotation ensures that every guest enjoys both dogsledding and snowshoeing during the same winter adventure.

The result is a well-balanced experience that combines:
