The experience

An evening that flows naturally.

Meet your skipper and guide in central Trondheim and step aboard one of our traditional clinker-built boats. The next hour belongs to your group: choose the colourful wharves and bridges of the Nidelva, head toward the open fjord, or let the day's conditions and your skipper guide the route.

Along the way, stories are available when you want them and silence when the view deserves it. Blankets soften the evening air, the city changes perspective, and dinner waits at the end rather than interrupting the journey.

We finish at Fosenkaia, Trondheim's characterful veteran-boat harbour. From the pontoon it is only a few steps to Troll Restaurant, where seasonal Norwegian produce becomes a changing three- or five-course menu. It is a seamless transition from the city's maritime heritage to its contemporary food culture.

One booking · Two local experiences

No taxis. No broken rhythm.

Your boat brings you directly to the restaurant. We coordinate the sailing and table time so the group can stay together from the first welcome aboard until dinner is served.

Questions & answers

Good to know

Is dinner included in the boat price?

No. The boat and dinner are priced separately so your group can choose three or five courses and any drink package. Your complete offer will show both parts clearly.

Can we choose between the river and fjord?

Yes. You can request either route or ask the skipper to recommend the best option for the weather, light and your group's interests.

Can you accommodate dietary requirements?

Troll offers vegetarian alternatives and can consider allergies when informed in advance. Please provide the complete dietary list when confirming the booking.

Where do we meet?

The meeting point is confirmed with the booking and will normally be Ravnkloa or the Rockheim pier. Clear directions are sent to the group organiser.

What happens if the boat tour cannot operate?

The skipper monitors wind and water conditions. If safe operation is not possible, we contact the organiser to discuss rescheduling, an adapted plan or the applicable refund.

Can children join?

Yes. Families are welcome, and life jackets are provided. Ask us for the current children's dinner option and tell us the ages when requesting the tour.
