From the city's quiet river to the open Trondheim Fjord
This is the complete Trondheim-by-water experience. Your private journey starts at Ravnkloa in one of our traditional clinker-built wooden boats. We follow the canal and Nidelva past historic wharves, Bakklandet and the city's river landmarks before turning back toward the harbour and the wider fjord.
As the river opens to the sea, the atmosphere changes. The city settles behind you, the horizon grows and Trondheim's relationship with the coast becomes clear. The route is shaped by wind, tide and conditions, with possible views toward Munkholmen and the surrounding fjord.
The route follows the conditions.
The river is sheltered and intimate; the fjord can be fresh and lively. Your skipper chooses the safest and most enjoyable route for the day. The changing weather is not outside the experience—it is part of travelling in a traditional open boat.
Experience both sides of Trondheim's maritime story without choosing between them.
The experience is reserved for your group, with room for up to twelve guests per boat.
