The experience

Christmas begins before dinner.

Gather your colleagues, friends or family at the water's edge and step aboard a traditional clinker-built boat reserved entirely for your group. In winter, Trondheim grows quieter and the river reflects the lights from the wharves, bridges and streets above.

Choose the sheltered history of the Nidelva or the open skyline of Trondheim Fjord. Blankets, warm non-alcoholic drinks and the sound of water against the wooden hull create a simple shared moment before the evening continues.

After the cruise, we can reserve a table at Krambua—a warm, characterful and wonderfully cosy place to continue the evening. Rather than committing everyone to a fixed package, guests choose from the restaurant's à la carte menu. We coordinate the boat and table so the group can move smoothly from fresh winter air to a welcoming dining room.

Come cold, come calm, come snow

Winter is part of the atmosphere.

These are open traditional boats, and you will feel the season. We provide blankets and something warm to drink; guests bring proper winter layers. The skipper always adapts the route—or the departure—when conditions require it.
